Responses to Friend Makin’ Mondays: Randomly Getting to Know YouGood morning everyone...a few days late. :-)

1. Introduce yourself in under 10 words. Texan, and mom of 3.

2. How did you find Friend Makin Mondays? I don’t remember how I found Kenlie’s blog, but that’s how I found Friend Makin Monday.

3. Have you ever met any of your blog readers? I don’t have too many readers at the moment, so other than my best friend, no, I have not..

4. How many states have you visited? I won’t really include the ones from when I was little bitty because I honestly can’t remember the trips, just being told about them. I have been to Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Arkansas, and that’s all I can remember right now.

5. What did you have for lunch yesterday? Yogurt. I had dental work done on Tuesday and my mouth was still sore.

6. How many different places have you lived in? I was born and raised in Denison, Texas and now live in Richardson, Texas. I was in Kissimmee, Florida for 3 months while going to school, but can you really count that since I was in a dorm??

7. What’s your favorite color? GREEN, it has always been green.

8. Do you have any pets? Three at the moment, a puppy my son brought home (I’ve been calling him Freddy, but my husband has different ideas), a schnauzer/terrier mix named Daisy and a Bichon named Beaux.

9. What would your ideal job be? I do enjoy baking and making things from scratch so that would be amazing, but I do enjoy being a legal assistant as well.

10. Do you have any tattoos? No, I do not.

What's Cooking Wednesday, May 7, 2025

I hesitate to even call this a recipe.  I have been making this super easy, but versatile recipe for years.  My ex-grandmother-in-law made hers spicier, but for my young one (at the time I started making this) wasn't a fan of spicy foods.  So I created a cheeseburger variety of the meat pie.  It's simply Grands biscuits, hamburger meat and cheese.  I believe she used the standard biscuit, but I have been using Grands for years.  You can absolutely change this up to use different ingredients, but it's a family favorite so I haven't changed it much.  I may do a different variety soon to bring to you!   You can watch the video here:  YouTube

Happy Monday, friends!  I hope you are looking forward to a good week!  It's time again to share my meal plan for the week.  I suspect breakfasts will be fend for ourselves.  Last week, I think we all ate a lot of cereal.  Lunches this week will likely be chicken salad and a pasta meal.  I, unfortunately, got hit with a round of vertigo at the end of last week that is wrecking havoc on my ability to move too much and it stinks.  I will be going back to what the allergy doctor suggested a couple of years ago...using my daily oral meds (Xyzal and Mucinex), as well as nasal rinse twice a day and nasal allergy spray.  While I know that vertigo for everyone isn't caused by the fluid in the ears, it seems to be for me most times when I've had it.  It's miserable when I can't even sit up without feeling nauseous. Anyway, for that reason, our meals for the week are going to be relatively easy and may even be repeats of meals I have had on the plan th...
