Savings Saturday, May 3rd

As we are trying to drill down on our budget and add to our savings, I decided to have a little fun with it.  We headed to Barnes & Noble and purchased 2 Word Find books, one is 365 Days of Puzzles and the other is a book of Bible Puzzles.  The 365 Puzzle book is pretty interesting in that it varies in topic.  My puzzles for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week were:

Monday: Disco [Puzzle 50], I found 10 words in 6 minutes.

Tuesday: Quantum Mechanics [Puzzle 192], 5 words in 4 minutes.

Wednesday: Languages of Africa [Puzzle 299], 6 words in 4 minutes.

So my total to go into savings for the first week: $21.00

Savings Total for this challenge: $21.00.

I have decided to only do a puzzle on the weekdays, but not the weekends for this challenge.  Why?  Being honest, there are some days/some weeks, like end of the month that get a bit overwhelming.  Only doing a puzzle 5 days per week, gives me an opportunity to do one on the weekend if the week has just been really overwhelming, as this past week was for me.  Not that I was asked, but there were some long hours put in and I was so done by the time my boss suggested I leave on Friday.

I am open to other savings challenge suggestions, but I don't want to have to invest a lot right now in order to do them.  This may also morph into what we can save money on.  It's definitely a work in progress.

Have a great day friends!
