Happy Tuesday friends and Happy New Year!  Can you believe it's already 2019?  Where has the time gone?  Or maybe I'm the only one that feels that way?  I suppose that could be.  For those of you that have been with me for a bit, you may remember that I made the decision awhile back not to make resolutions for any new year, but instead to set goals.  I did not hit all my goals for 2018, but I am feeling pretty good going into 2019.  I have set some goals for myself using my handy Living Well Spending Less Planner.

My biggest goal this year is to hit my weigh loss goal.  I've discussed this with my husband and I have a plan in place to make this a reality.  My biggest thing is to make time for workouts, track my food and to meal plan.  These are huge things for me that I know will help me reach my goal weight.  As they say "Abs are made in the kitchen!", so I'm really trying to make sure that my meal plan works for me and helps me on my way to my goal weight.

Another big goal for us this year is to pay down our debt and focus on knowing where our money goes.  I know having a budget is definitely a big factor in this.  My planner has a great starting point, which will work for me.  My sweet husband, however, prefers an Excel Spreadsheet.

Other more minor goals for me are as follows:
  • spend more time reading and finishing projects that I have left incomplete;
  • spend more time connecting with my extended family and friends;
  • treat my area as if I am a tourist;
  • focus on adding strength training to help tone my body;
  • spend some time decluttering and purging; and
  • adding to our savings and retirement.
My word of the year is "Transform".  I want to transform my body, my mind and my budget!  My secondary word is "Intentional" because I want to be intentional about the things I want to accomplish this year.  I truly want to give myself the give of "done" on my projects.  Some of these really feel like lofty goals and truly some of them are because I know it's going to take me making time for these things.  I truly feel like using my planner daily will definitely help me get to my goals.  What goals have you set for yourself?

  1. My #1 goal for 2019 is to reach my goal weight before the end of March. Then, it is to maintain and not gain it all back again!
